Let our esthetician examine and evaluate your facial skin care needs. Our esthetician is trained in the evaluation of all types of skin and all kinds of skin problems. Whether it’s acne, uneven skin tones, fine lines and wrinkles or other issues; she can help you to determine what the best course of action might be. She will be able to provide you with skin care treatments if indicated. She will also be able to arrange for you to be seen by one of our doctors for BOTOX® injections or collagen treatment if warranted. We also market a full line of Skinceuticals® products and Latisse. Facials

There are several types of facials offered to help promote and maintain healthy skin, while creating an atmosphere of relaxation for the mind and body. Our estheticians will determine the types of products used to best suit the patients’ needs. Every facial includes deep cleansing, light exfoliation, facial massage, mask and moisturizing. The patient is guaranteed to leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. Facial gift certificates make a wonderful gift for any occasion.

Therapeutic Facial – This clinical approach is customized for the specific needs of each skin type and includes skin analysis, deep pore cleansing, exfoliation, massage, a treatment masque, and removal of pore impactions.

Deep Pore Cleansing Facial – This intensive facial treatment is designed to bring troubled skin back into balance by unclogging pores and removing dead surface skin cells. It is specifically designed for oily/acne prone skin types.

The Back Treatment – Recommended for congested shoulder and back areas. This treatment combines special gel exfoliators and extractions if necessary. The back treatment may be added to any service with advanced notice.

Micropeel®

Over time, exposure to sun, stress and environmental aggressors can casue signs of premature aging, such as unwanted pigmentation, dull skin and wrinkles. SkinCeuticals Professional Peels stimulate cell turnover and strengthen skin’s structure to reduce pigmentation, smooth skin texture, and improve radiance.  SkinCeuticals peels are also effective in reducing acne by decreasing oil and enhancing surface exfoliation to decongest pores.

Micropeel® is a multie-step chemical exfoliation to remove a micro-thin surface layer of skin. The application of a 20-30% glycolic or lactic acid solution is used to remove debris from clogged pores. Micropeel® Plus, is an application of salicylic and glycolic acids which are delivered by a Biomedic® patented system called the Microsponge. This delivery system permits the acids to reach the smallest crevices of skin. The Plus works by loosening the dead cells on the skin surface and stimulating living cell renewal. This renewal process causes the skin to peel much like after a sunburn, and can last up to one week. The Micropeel® Plus has been successful in treating active acne, smoothing fine lines, fading sun spots and acne scars and lessening the appearance of large pores.

Pigment Balancing Masque Peel is a one-step pigment peel of 40% glycolic acid and high performance brightening agent. It is designed to improve hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tones. it will leave your skin smooth and brightened and is intended to be applied every three weeks for 4-6 treatments.

Each of the above peels takes only 15-30 minutes and for optimal results requires a series of 4-6 peels.

Caution: These peels cannot be done on tanned skin or if you are pregnant.

Microdermabrasion

A spray of fine crystals deeply exfoliates the epidermis to promote changes in skin texture, color and appearance. Microdermabrasion can diminish fine lines and uneven skin tone as well as unclog and refine pores. It is a great way to rejuvenate your complexion. We offer a discount on a series of treatments.

Facial Waxing

Our esthetician uses a professional hair removal system ideal for facial waxing. Our wax of choice is formulated for all skin types allowing gentle hair removal with great results. Eyebrow sculpting, upper lip waxing, and chin hair removal is our specialty.

FRAXEL LASER Skin Resurfacing

The Fraxel 1550 treatment uses patented fractional laser technology to target aging and sun damaged skin, sfely penetrating the skin’s deeper layers and stimulating your body’s own natural healing process to create new collagen. Old and damaged cells are replaced with fresh, glowing, healthy skin.

Fraxel  skin resurfacing treatments deliver true skin restoration with immediate and long lasting changes that you can see and feel. NEUROTOXIN Injections

BOTOX® is actually a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacteria, which is found in some species of fish. Administered in minute quantities to a specific muscle, it causes paralysis of the muscle for up to three months. In this way, BOTOX® is injected into the muscles underneath a frown line or crows feet, paralyzing the muscle and diminishing the wrinkle. BOTOX® takes only a few minutes to administer, and requires very little recovery time, if any. It is suitable to have done on a lunch hour, and the results can be dramatic. BOTOX® is charged by the unit, and we can give you financial estimate at the time of your consultation.

Restylane®, Radiesse®, AND JUVADERM®

When you consider the options today in non-invasive facial enhancements, Restylane®, Radiesse® and Juvederm® are the state of the art. These products are natural “fillers” which can be injected into specific areas of the face to lift and smooth out wrinkles and creases. Restylane® can also be injected into the lips to enhance and define them. Radiesse® adds immediate volume correction in areas of the lower face. Juvederm® smooths out the lines along the sides of your nose and mouth known as “laugh lines” or “marionette lines”. Juvederm® achieves its smooth consistency due to an innovative process called Hylacross technology. Restylane® and Radiesse® are revolutionary in the fact that, unlike collagen injections, they contain nothing made from animals so there is no risk of the transmitting diseases from animals or eliciting allergic reactions in patients who are sensitive to common foods such as beef or eggs. Because of this, no pre-treatment skin test is required – you may have your treatment performed immediately in our office. Restylane® contains one of the human body’s own natural materials, hyaluronic acid. Radiesse® contains calcium hedroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres around which the body’s own collagen grows. A Restylane®, Radiesse® or Juvederm® treatment takes about 15 minutes, and the results are immediate. You may experience some tenderness and swelling afterward, but these symptoms generally disappear in two to four days. The effects of the treatment will last up to six months for Restylane®, nine months to a year for Juvederm® and up to one year for Radiesse®. The filler in these products is gradually absorbed into the body as it breaks down.

How are Restylane®, Radiesse® and Juvederm® different from BOTOX®? They are injected into the skin to add fullness beneath the wrinkle (i.e. a filler). BOTOX® is injected into the muscle to paralyze the contracting muscle which causes the wrinkle. Both fillers and BOTOX® can be used simultaneously, and the use of BOTOX® on the same area as the Restylane®, Radiesse® or Juvederm® will help the filler to last longer.

Restylane®, Radiesse® and Juvederm® may or may not contain anesthesia (numbing medicine). This could cause the treatments to be painful if they are performed by other practitioners. But because Dr. Pepper is an oral surgeon, he is able to completely numb the area with a simple injection of local anesthesia inside the mouth, just like you would get when you are having dental work done.
