Meet dr. allen
Paul S. Allen, DMD, JD, a native of Passaic, New Jersey, received his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He then earned his dental degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. In 1975. Following dental school he went to Baltimore, MD to do an internship and residency in Oral Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. An employment opportunity brought him to Harrisburg where he eventually started his own private practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 1990, Dr. Allen had the opportunity to attend Widener Law School at night, earning his law degree and passing the bar in 1994. He continues to practice Oral Surgery full time.
In addition to the routine procedures in the specialty, Dr. Allen is skilled in Esthetic and Facial Procedures. He is certified in the use of such products as: Botox®, Radiesse®, Restylane® and the use of the Fraxel® Laser. He also enjoys treating Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea with surgery and/or oral appliances.
Outside of private practice, Dr. Allen is involved in many professional and civic societies. In his spare time, Dr. Allen enjoys football, playing golf, reading and traveling. He and his wife, Julie have three grown daughters and four grandchildren. Their youngest and only son, Michael, unexpectedly passed away in July 2013, one month short of staring his senior year at Penn State.
